Help with ReadAura for iOS and Android

Need help? Email support@olekraft.com. We speak English, Polish, and Ukrainian. Prefer another language? Send it anyway — we’ll do our best, with a little help from translation tools.

Before you write

Use the in-app support option when possible. ReadAura adds the current Diagnostic ID and Purchase ID to the email draft when available, together with technical app and device details. Review the draft before sending; you can edit or remove any detail. If no mail app opens, copy the support email address and available IDs shown in ReadAura and contact us manually. Both IDs are also available under About & Support → Support Information. In ordinary support messages, do not include book titles, reading logs, or other private reading data. If you choose to send a recovery database for a startup problem, review the share sheet and attach it intentionally.

Subscriptions and purchases

  • Use Restore Purchases after reinstalling the app or moving to a device with the same store account.
  • Manage or cancel through Apple Subscriptions or Google Play Subscriptions. Apple and Google process payments and refunds; ReadAura never receives card details.

Your data

Books, reading logs, covers, statistics, reminders, and preferences stay on your device. We cannot view or recover them. Your operating system may back up some local data, but coverage varies and cover images are never included; do not rely on backup as guaranteed recovery.

Exports and startup recovery

About & Support → Data creates a local archive of your library. After a startup failure and one unsuccessful retry, ReadAura may also offer a recovery database when readable data is available. Nothing is uploaded automatically; temporary exports are eligible for deletion from the app cache after approximately 24 hours. This version cannot import either file.

A recovery database contains books and reading history. Share it only deliberately with a destination you select. If you send it to support, we use it only to investigate the startup problem or help recover readable data and handle it under the Privacy Policy.

Diagnostics

You can turn diagnostic reports off under About & Support → Support Information. Diagnostics are on by default, and the saved choice applies fully the next time the app starts. Turning diagnostics off does not delete reports immediately. Reports are deleted automatically after approximately 30 days. To request earlier deletion, email us and include your Diagnostic ID.

Permissions and privacy

Camera and photo-library access is optional and is used only to add a cover. Notification access is optional and is used for local reading reminders. Change these permissions in device settings.
